I purchased my 5501C3 back in the late 90s (20 years ago) for river salmon-steelhead fishing in the PNW
Equipped with Fuji SiC rings
Armed with what I have shared here, you have what you need to buy this combo with the understanding that the rod is a bit stiff, so if youre looking for a 7 casting rod to use with heavier baits, this one fits the bill for you and I would highly recommend it
Built with a long and smooth body, the Power Wag pairs perfectly with a weightless wacky or Texas rig, allowing it to entice bites as it slowly falls down to the bottom
Designed for maximum cranking power, drag performance, and long-term durability, these large-format low-profile reels feature a redesigned A-Symmetric body for improved comfort and easy palming despite their size
