The final firing was to form the glass into a shape that stands on its own

The final fused result is then kilnformed into a curve shaped for display and coldworked so the bottom is sturdy and flat

Artistic Process: This bowl was made by cutting multiple layers of different glasses with shards of glass on top in a specific pattern  inside a stainless steel round mold as a dam to contain the glass

then the flower petals and flower center were tack fused in a separate firing for texture and dimension

It makes a special, unique, artisan made gift. The artistic process: I started with a orange transparent glass and a glass made of black and clear swirls. These were cut into 2 circles and then fired to a full fuse temperature. The final step is to drape the glass over a stainless steel cone shape to create this unique shaped vase.
