思わず感心してしまうほど、雰囲気のある柿の蔕茶盌。ほんのり赤みを帯びたボディと造形は名碗、大津を思わせるが、ここまで気配を持った作品はもはや名物碗と比較するのもナンセンス。古色など一切施さず、焼きでこの古き良き味わいを表現する姿勢に作家の強い高麗茶碗への情熱を感じざるを得ない。腰高に張りを作ったまさに高麗茶碗のお手本のような造形、侘びの極みとも言える肌、悠久の時を経たような見込み、端正で心地よい高台。柿の蔕茶盌は数ある茶盌の中で最もお茶が映える茶盌の一つだと思っているが、まさにお茶が冷めるギリギリまで眺めていたくなるような景色が楽しめるだろう。高麗茶碗に魅せられた男の魂の一碗。
