Susannah Mayne 1841 - 1937 Joan Regan:Paperback The Proletarian Front Appears inSusannah was born in Dublin in 1841, and died in 1937. Her life included famine, rebellions, and the birth of the Irish Free State. From a working class background, she became part of the emerging Catholic middle class, and married a successful businessman who served as an M. P. in Parnell's Irish Party in the British Parliament. She lived through social, technological, political and economic changes over nearly a century.
