Plastic bags drifting in the ocean are often mistaken by sea turtles for jellyfish, leading to deadly consequences. To me, this is not distant news, but a real and ongoing crisis. Using diluted acrylics, I depict plastic bags as light and translucentseemingly harmless, yet deadly. It reflects a cruel filtering: turtles see survival,
