The holder has a small cup shaped recess that allows the tool to sit straight, whether you prefer to insert it up and down or upside down, as shown in the pictures. Other designs feature a storage section for extra blades, but I find that unnecessary, as this holder can store the extra blades internally (by opening the black tip). The
