Long Scarf ~ Sweet Welcome Pineapple art print scarf by artist Christie Marie floral throw in light — and that"Sweet Welcome" is a wearable print of my original mixed media silver ink and watercolor painting. The tradition of using the pineapple as a symbol of welcome, often appearing on gateposts, pillars, and in architecture, primarily flourished during the 18th and 19th centuries in America and Europe. Originating from Caribbean, 17th century sea captain traditions, the symbol signified hospitality, as rare pineapples were placed outside homes to invite
